What's in my Bag?

I love reading and watching "What's in my Bag?" blog posts and YouTube videos so I thought I'd do one myself. This is what I typically take with me if I'm going somewhere other than college, in fact I haven't changed much since going out yesterday for a cinema date with my boyfriend and a birthday meal for my friend. My phone was on charge while taking the photographs for this post, but I ALWAYS have it on me! It's a white iPhone 5 and has a Victoria's Secret case.

The bag I am using is a Large Crystal Bow Shopper bag by Ted Baker. I got it as a Christmas present and it is now sold out on the Ted Baker website, but I found it at John Lewis and Selfridges in their sale, so if you like it, you have to grab it quickly! I love this bag because it is absolutely huge, so I can fit everything I need into it, even if I am carrying around folders for college! I also love all the tiny details, such as the text on various parts of it.

I have grouped the items in my bag into smaller groups so it is easier to describe each one.

Firstly, I always have a notebook and pen with me just in case I get an idea for a blog post or outfit and need to scribble it down. I also keep to-do and shopping lists in there. This notebook is by Kirstie Allsopp, you can buy it by clicking here. I also keep my glasses in a case in my bag if they're not already on my face.

I like to keep a book in my bag in case I get some time to myself if I am waiting for a bus or anything else. I am currently reading a French book of short stories by Guy de Maupassant as I am studying French for A-level and like to revise without feeling as if I am revising in my spare time. I am really enjoying this book, it is Dual-Language so if I don't understand anything I can look to the next page, see the English translation and then learn the word. My favourite short story so far is called "Miss Harriet". You can purchase this book here.
Obviously, I take my wallet everywhere with me! It is huge because I have lots of store loyalty cards stuffed into it, which actually come in very useful if you remember to use them! I also have a Sony Walkman which I have had for years with all of my favourite music on it. You can buy a similar one here. It comes in useful as if I listen to music on my iPhone, it completely drains the battery! I also have pink Phillips headphones to go with it.
I ALWAYS have to have a snack in my bag, as I get hungry very quickly which deteriorates into "hangry" (hungry+angry). I love nakd bars as they are tasty and healthy, and perfect to tide me over until my next meal.

If my hands are feeling particularly dry, I throw in some hand cream. I use Hand Food from Soap & Glory. I use the BeautyBay "tangle teezer" because it has a handle, which I just find easier having such thick, long hair. I always carry a mirror for on-the-go touch ups and to check everything is looking okay, because if I don't have one with me I'm sure to smudge my lipstick or cry off my mascara!

I have a bit of an obsession with having moisturised and soft lips, so I have to carry a tub of Vaseline with me everywhere. This is a Limited Edition red-tinted one, but I also love the Cocoa Butter one. I also usually carry a bright lip colour with me, just in case I need one of those confidence boosts which only comes from pulling yourself together and putting a bold lip colour on. This is my favourite lipstick of all time, Kate Moss for Rimmel in shade 01. Finally, I like to carry little perfume samples with me if I am going to be out for a long time, rather than taking one of my beautiful big bottles and damaging it. These are from Gucci and Valentino.

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I love to read other ones like this. Please leave a comment telling me your most essential item in your bag!
My blog now has 37 followers on Bloglovin' and over 1750 total page views, which is so exciting as I started it less than two weeks ago! I'd love to reach 50 followers soon, and maybe at 50 or 100 I'll do a giveaway. I'm following everyone back on Bloglovin', too, as I want to expand the amount of blogs I read and interact with!

    1. Thank you! They're the best snack, so filling and tasty but secretly (or not so secretly) healthy x

  3. Your bag seems so compact! I've been working in whittling it down to just my essentials and a smaller bag helps. However I can't shake the feeling that I've forgotten a zillion things back at home using a smaller crossbody bag. ..

    1. This is it on a day when I haven't thrown in extra flats to change into from heels, folders and notebooks for college or a make-up bag! I feel really uncomfortable when I use a little bag because I always feel like I don't have everything I need, or am worried I'l do some shopping and won't have anywhere to put it! x
