5 Affordable Face Masks for Acne/Blemish-Prone Skin

Having skin prone to blemishes can be such a pain, and when you break out all you want is a quick-fix to make it go away! Obviously there is no magic solution to make all of your imperfections disappear, but I find that relaxing and putting on a face mask often calms my skin down and makes any spots less irritated. There are some hugely popular high-end brands which make face masks for blemish-prone skin, GlamGlow being an amazing one, but if you're not willing to fork out a lot of cash for a rare breakout then there are some cheaper ones which do the job just as well.

The first, and my favourite, is the Quick-Fix Facials Anti-Blemish Mud Mask. I can always rely on this mask to draw out any impurities and leave my skin feeling tight and fresh afterwards, and it does a great job on reducing any redness.
Secondly, Neutrogena makes a fantastic 2-in-1 Wash and Mask. As I already have a face wash which works wonders for me, I just use this as a mask. It is a very cooling formula and I can physically feel it reducing any irritation and redness in my skin.
Another amazingly simple idea which will cost you nothing at all if you have a pot in your cupboards, is to use honey as a mask. You can mix it with other ingredients such as oats or banana or just apply it by itself (be warned - it's very sticky!) It's a popular home remedy which has been used for centuries to treat acne and other marks, such as scars.
The most mattifying mask out of the 5 is definitely KIKO's Purifying Mask, which leaves my skin completely shine and oil-free. My favourite thing about this mask however is definitely the scent - it smells just like sweets!
My final affordable face mask is the YesTo Tomatoes Clearing Face Mask. This product is designed especially for combination skin so has the perfect balance between reducing oil without drying out the skin. It is a bit pricier than the other masks but still nothing on the high-end skincare brands!

Please let me know if this post was helpful and you'd like to see more - I love writing about skincare as I'd be so happy to be able to help just one person out if they're struggling because I know how much of a confidence-killer your skin can be throughout the teenage years!
